PURPOSE:To execute read with high accuracy at all times, by reading and scanning bar mark information on the printing face of a bankbook, etc., sampling its output signal by a printing timing pulse, and reading it. CONSTITUTION:A combined bar mark 6 of a thick bar showing the page number and a thin bar is printed on the blank part of each page of a bankbook P, for instance, on the left end part of the upper side blank part. A detector 18 is fitted to a carriage 13 for carrying a printing head 12 through a head guide 16 and a plate-like spring 17, and this detector 18 interlocks with the head 12 move it on the part of the mark 6 on the printing face of the bankbook P. When the detector 18 moves, the detecting face of the detector 18 is made to press-contacted onto the printing face of the bankbook P by an operation of the spring 17. Subsequently, the reading circuit samples an output of a white and black deciding part 20 by a driving pulse from a pringing head driving part 22, in a white and black variation point detecting part 21, detects a variation point of white and black levels, and in accordance with its variation point signal and the driving pulse, width of white and black levels is counted by a white and black levels is counted by a white and black counter 23, and read is executed. |
