PURPOSE:To simplify the key operation, by designating and changing automatically a shift mode of a keyboard device to a specified shift mode by a shift controlling circuit, and inputting the same graphic character as controlled by a shift function key corresponding to a newly designated shift mode. CONSTITUTION:A graphic character key 1 of a keyboard of a data input part is connected to an encoding circuit 2, and a shift function key 3 is connected to a shift controlling circuit 4. An output of this controlling circuit 4 is provided to the circuit 2, and an output of the circuit 2 is provided to a decoding circuit 5 and a delaying circuit 6 for outputting a strobe signal. By this decoding circuit 5, NUL data is detected as an undefined code, and its data is provided to the controlling circuit 4. Subsequently, a shift mode of the circuit 2 is designated by depression of the function key 3 by the controlling circuit 4 or data of the decoding circuit 5, encoded data and a strobe signal are outputted, by which the key operation is simplified. |
