PURPOSE:To prevent increase of an oil amount and worsening of a shaft seal function especially in a shaft rotated at a high circumferential speed, by holding a clearance between the rotary shaft and seal rings uniformly in the circumferential direction and preventing the generation of a flaw in the rotary shaft and the seal ring by any chance against mixing of foreign matter. CONSTITUTION:In a device such that seal rings 2a, 2b are concurrently provided to the periphery of a rotary shaft 1 in the shaft direction through clearances 6a, 6b and high pressure fluid is supplied to the clearances 6a, 6b, a plural number of through holes 11 in the shaft direction are formed to said rings 2a, 2b in a position approximate to the shaft 1 further grooves 12 respectively communicated to the holes 11 in the shaft direction are formed to side faces of the rings 2a, 2b. By this constitution, the clearances 6a, 6b between the shaft 1 and the rings 2a, 2b can be uniformly held in the circumferential direction. |
