For a digital/analog converter, which selects from a multi-digit digital measurement result several decades and converts these selected decades into an analog voltage signal, it is proposed for the purpose of clear representation and for simple and reliable adjustment, that each decade represented by a symbol is spatially associated with a light-emitting diode (11 ... 18), that the light-emitting diodes of the decades selected for digital/analog conversion are driven to emit light, and that two switching elements (20, 21) are provided by means of which the selected decades can be shifted to the left (towards the higher-valued decades) or to the right (towards the lower-valued decades). <IMAGE>
