摘要 Single-vane wind turbines require a counter-weight rates to the vane in order to balance the rotating system. According to the invention, the counter-weight for controlling the wind turbine is provided as a function of the wind speed by being divided into part weights which are arranged outside the rotor plane. Under the effect of centrifugal force, the part weights tend to move into the rotor plane. If the vane is mounted rotatably about its longitudinal axis, the movement of the part weights can alter the setting of the vane with reference to the rotor plane. The control movement works against a prestressed spring, in order to be able to pass through a minimum speed range, generally up to the rated speed, without vane control. Dividing the counter-weight into further part weights makes it possible, on the one hand, to provide further control operations on the basis of the same physical relationships and, on the other hand, to use only a part of the whole counter-weight for the purpose of control. In this case, the residual mass of the counter-weight remains in an extension of the vane axis. The shaping of the counter-weight carrier, can moreover, influence aerodynamic processes. For example, streamlined cladding can lead to reduction in the generally harmful resistance in the direction of rotation, or favour the start-up response of the rotor by twisting the struts, which are of planar design.
