Apparatus for determining lightfastness and weather resistance

An apparatus is described for determining the lightfastness and weather resistance of a sample composed of organic substances. The apparatus comprises an irradiation device in which a plurality of lamps are mounted and a controlled-atmosphere sample chamber. To construct such an apparatus, provision is made for the irradiation device to be installed in an access door of a housing which encloses the sample chamber, which is open to the access door, and contains a plurality of fluorescent lamps which are mounted alongside one another and which predominantly emit ultraviolet radiation with a different spectral distribution in each case. The fluorescent lamps are connected to power supplies mounted on the access door.
