Filing loops (11) cannot be pressed through relatively thick layers of paper in the fold of technical journals, for example. The booklets are placed with their fold in a groove, and a lever with exchangeable blade tips makes slits in the booklets, with a spacing of 8 cm in each case, in a dimensionally precise manner. The abovementioned filing loops made of aluminium sheet (commercially available) or less expensive wires can now be pushed through (13 and 14). Less expensive clamping screws can be used (17) instead of office files. When using so-called folders, their webs can be provided with page-turning bars (19). <IMAGE>
