PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the retouching operation of a recording signal itself such as dot etching by making a scan on a retouch sheet whose processing value is set synchronously with an original picture, and adding obtained dot etching data to a corresponding color plate signal from the original picture. CONSTITUTION:The original picture A on an original picture drum 11 is scanned photoelectrically by a scanning head 12 and converted into respective color separation signals, which are corrected by an arithmetic circuit 13 and then recorded on a film (a) on a recording drum 15 by a recording head 14. A retouching device 2 is provided with a retouch drum 21 where the retouch sheet is mounted, scanning head 22, and adding and subtracting circuit 23. Then, retouch sheets B classified by the color plate signals of Y, M, C, and K are scanned synchronously with the scan on the original picture A and signals from the retouch sheets B are added to the output of the arithmetic circuit 13 by the adding and subtracting circuit 23 to output the sum to the recording head 14. |
