The present invention relates to novel alkylene(cycloalkylene)bisheterocyclyl biguanides of the formula I <IMAGE> in which A and B represent a heterocyclic radical which is linked via nitrogen, R represents optionally alkyl-substituted cycloalkylene or alkylene, it being possible for the alkylene chain to be interrupted once or more than once by cycloalkylene, bicycloalkylene or tricycloalkylene groups, each of which is optionally monosubstituted or polysubstituted by alkyl, or interrupted by oxygen atoms, sulphur atoms or the group NR<3>, R<1> and R<2> represent hydrogen, alkyl or optionally substituted aralkyl, or together with the alkylene radical and the nitrogen atoms form a heterocyclic ring, and R<3> represents hydrogen, alkyl or optionally substituted aralkyl. The compounds are obtained by reacting alkylenebisdicyanamide with heterocycles, if appropriate in the presence of a solvent. The novel alkylene(cycloalkylene)bisheterocyclyl biguanides of the formula I can be used as pesticides.
