The invention relates to a vent device with which a pressure rise in the passenger compartment of a vehicle is prevented. The device contains sensor means for sensing the opening or the closing of a door of a vehicle, the sensor means controlling drive means which open or close a flap. The flap is arranged in a vent opening in the vehicle body.
