In a bivalently operated heating plant with a heating boiler and a buffer reservoir, to which are connected a heating heat pump and/or a chimney boiler, the heating boiler and the buffer reservoir of the heating plant are integrated into a single unit by incorporating the burner into the buffer reservoir.
