PURPOSE:To ensure both features of a VTR and a video disk which can be mass-produced, by using an information recording medium containing at least p and n type amorphous semiconductor junction layers formed on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:For recording of information signals, a conductive recording stylus 17 made of a metallic material like tungsten, etc. is brought into contact with the highest layer, i.e., a p type amorphous silicon thin film layer 15 of an information recording medium 11 in opposition to a recording head 19 which is formed on the side surface of an insulator 18 of sapphire, etc. in about 0.1-1mum thickness by a sputtering process, etc. Then the recording signal voltage Vs is applied between the stylus 17 and a stainless steel layer 13 of the medium 11. The voltage Vs is applied to the medium 11 through the stylus 17, and at the same time a recording current flows to the medium 11. |
