PURPOSE:To shorten remarkably a set-up time, by storing a personal dictionary in a memory which is capable of accessing directly a recognition processing part, an address line and a data line, and using it for read. CONSTITUTION:A personal dictionary 6 is set to an optical character reader OCR7, a read object 2 of a form 1 is subjected to pre-processing by a photoelectric converting part 3, and thereafter, its read is executed by a deciding part 5 by use of a feature obtained in a feature extracting part 4 and the personal dictionary 6. A cassette 8 consists of an ROM or an RAM which stores the personal dictionary, and its storage holding power source, stores a personal dictionary for a form entry person before read of the form is started, sets it to an OCR body 9, and reads the form by use of this personal dictionary. According to such a constitution, its set-up time is shortened remarkably, comparing with the case of using a personal dictionary stored in a floppy disk. |
