In a change-speed gear, a lubricant delivery device is actuated only in conjunction with a change-over operation. For this purpose, a lubricating plunger (7) is displaced directly or indirectly by a switching element (gearshift lever or clutch pedal) against the force of a spring (8). In the process, the lubricating plunger (7) presses lubricant located in the spring space onto the points of the gear to be lubricated. After completion of the switching operation, the spring (8) pushes the lubricating plunger (7) back into its initial position. In this movement of the lubricating plunger (7), lubricant is sucked into the spring space from an oil sump (4). <IMAGE>
