Novel alpha -amino carboxylic acid oxime esters of the formula I, <IMAGE> in which R is (substituted) phenyl or (substituted) naphthyl, R1 is (substituted) alkyl, cycloalkyl, (substituted) benzyl or (substituted) furyl, R2 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl, or R3 and R4 together are (substituted) alkylidene, with the proviso that, if R3 is H, R4 may not be H, have valuable fungicidal properties.
