PURPOSE:To dispense with lubricating oil and prevent fricitional heat from being generated, by providing foils between the inside surface of a casing and the outside surfaces of dividing blades so that the foils can be elastically deformed in the direction of the thickness and by providing each of the dividing blades or the casing with a sealing surface. CONSTITUTION:In an expanding machine 3, a rotor 1 is surrounded with a casing 4 and dividing blades 6 are fitted in grooves 5 on the peripheral surface of the rotor so that the blades can be moved in and out. Foils 81-83, which can be elastically deformed match in the direction of the thickness, are provided on the inside circumferential surface of the casing 4. The outside surface of the enlarged part 6a of the tip of each dividing blade 6 acts as a sealing surface 9 which faces the inside surface of the foil. When the rotor 1 is turning, the dividing blades 6 are floated off the casing 4 by the dynamic pressure of gas in a minute gap defined between the sealing surface 6 and the foil 81-83. This constitution makes lubricating oil needless and prevents frictional heat from being generated. |
