PURPOSE:To achieve precise control of fuel injection by providing a rack position sensor which generates a signal corresponding to the difference between an actual position of the rack and its maximum rated position when the rack is displaced in the accelerating direction exceeding the maximum rated point. CONSTITUTION:With a rack 6 of a fuel injection pump 5 displaced in the accelerating direction exceeding the position of the rated maximum load, a rack position sensor 7 detects an actual position of the rack with respect to the maximum load position and generates a signal corresponding to the difference between the actual position and the maximum rated position. A position setting circuit 8 generates a position reference signal of a signal value A which varies with a difference between a set revolution number and an actual revolution number on the basis of a certain functional relation. Said rack position sensor 7 and position set circuit 8 input signals to an operational circuit 46 intended for controlling an overload, and an actuator 12 then controls a position of the rack, whereby precise control may be achieved. |
