PURPOSE:To effectively cool a battery for prolonging its life by placing the battery inside a battery box and communicating the discharge port of the battery box to a gas passage of a suction and discharge system or of a cooling system of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A noise suppressor box 8 of an engine-driven service machine accomodates an engine 9, an operating unit 10 and a battery 20. A battery box 21 accomodates the battery 20 and one end of a discharge pipe 25 is attached to a discharge port 24 of the battery box 21 and the other end thereof is communicated to a suction pipe 11 of an air cleaner 12. Open air which has been heated to a high temperature inside the battery box 21 can be forcedly discharged. Since the battery 20 may be thus cooled effectively, the life thereof may be prolonged. |
