PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in estimation and calculation of the temp. of a billet by changing the overall coefft. of heat transfer from the actually measured value and estimated value of the temp. of the billet in a discharge port and correcting the overall coefft. of heat transfer from the change rate thereof and the change rate of the estimated value in real time. CONSTITUTION:The error between the actually measured value thetaR of the slab surface temp. measured in the discharge port of a heating furnace and the estimated value thetaC of the slab surface temp. near the discharge port is calculated. The overall coeffts. phiCGO<1>, phiCGO<2> of heat transfer in the upper and lower parts are fluctuated by a slight quantity DELTAphi, and the estimated temp. value is calculated, from which the coefft. of influence is calculated and the correction rate DELTAphiCG of the coeffts. phiCG is determined so that the value thetaR and the estimated value in the same position are made roughly to coincide. Since the abrupt correction of the coeffts. phiCG disturbs the stability in the control system, the coeffts. are corrected by the prescribed equations. The actually measured value of the slab surface temp. is thus made to coincide with the estimated value of the slab surface temp. in the same position and the accuracy in the estimation and calculation of the temp. is improved. |
