The title compds. III(R2=H, Na, K) were prepd. by reaction of I with II[R1=-NH(C2H5)3, -NH2(C2H5)2 . Thus, 60g pchlorophenoxy-isobutyric acid in 100mL CH2Cl2 was reacted with a soln. contg. 30g ampicillin3H2O, 200mL CH2Cl2, 14mL triethylamine, and 50mL isopropyl alcohol at -10≦̸C. After 2 hrs., 200mL purified water and 10mL conc. HCl were added and the organic layer of the mixt. was washed with 200mL purified water. Organic solvent was removed and 100mL ethylether was added. This soln. was filtered. Resulting soln. was treated with 500mL n-hexane with stirring for 30min. to give 30g III. |
