PURPOSE:To protect parts of a drive mechanism of a starter-motor by providing a delay circuit to delay the opening of a relay contact by the output of an AC generator during a transitional period to start an engine by a starter motor. CONSTITUTION:A relay contact SR is provided between a starter switch SW and a starter motor M. When the starter switch SW is erroneously turned on during the revolution of an engine, a battery voltage E is added to a relay contact drive circuit, and a voltage is added to an input terminal to NANDQ1 via a resistance R6, a Zener diode ZD, and a capacity C2. Then, the output of NANDQ2 activates a driver transistor Tr to supply current to a relay R, and a relay contact SR is opened to prohibit the drive of the starter motor M. This construction permits to prevent parts of a drive mechanism of the starter motor M from damage. |
