摘要

The invention concerns a process for the polymerization of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) using as initiator a diester of monoperoxyoxalic acid. The initiators are highly active and the process provides a metrod for the efficient polymerization of VCM at lower temperatures and/or for shorter reaction times than can be achieved with the current commercially available catalysts.
