PURPOSE:To select the most suitable mass scanning mode according to a purpose, by making plural kinds of loci for varying direct current voltage and high- frequency voltage selectable. CONSTITUTION:An output of a high-frequency oscillator OSC is impressed to a resonance circuit Q including a quadrupole electrode (QP) through an amplitude modulator AM and its high-frequency voltage is applied to an error amplifier EA as the voltage corresponding to an amplitude V through a rectifier smoothing circuit De. An output voltage Vo from a mass scanning sequence controlling circuit Com is compared with the amplitude V by the amplifier EA, and the modulator AM is controlled so as to be U=Vo. An output V of the circuit De is converted into a constant direct current voltage U=Kv+e through potentiometers P1, P2, an amplifier VA, and said voltage is applied to a QP. The mass scanning is carried out along a UV locus by actuating relays K1, K3 in a total ion signal recording mode by the circuit Com and the mass scanning is carried out along a straight line crossing the UV locus in a mass analysis mode by the circuit Com. |
