An ear tag (1), suitable for marking animals, is described. Said ear tag (1) comprises at least a pin (2) and an accomodation part (6), in which the pin (6) comprises at least a shank (3) and a head (4), and for fitting of the ear tag (1) the head (4) can be forced through the ear of the animal and into an accommodation element (8) contained by the accommodation part (6). This fitting is carried out in such a way that the shank (3) of the pin (2) is situated essentially in the ear. In order to supply air to the wound in the ear, one or more openings (11) are provided in the shank (3) of the pin (2). |
