IGNITING METHOD FOR A GAS BURNER

A temperature setting button (31) is manipulated to set a desired temperature to a temperature setting device (3) and the hot water delivery operation is made. A gas proportional valve (21) is opened by 80% of the full opening to maintain the gas supply volume in the state of throttling and, at the same time, an ignitor (22) is maintained in the state of operation until the ignition confirmation device (23) confirms the combustion of the gas burner (2). And after the ignitor 22 is stopped, the gas proportional valve (21) is fully opened and the gas burner is burned to its maximum capability to assist in the dispersion of the flame all over the combustion face of the gas burner (2). The degree of opening of the gas proportional valve (21) is regulated so as to make equal the set temperature of the temperature setting device (3) and temperature detected by a hot water temperature sensor (32) so as to carry out the control of the supply hot water. The method can avoid the explosive ignition of a gas burner, and simultaneously form flame all over the combustion face of the gas burner.
