ELECTRICAL FOOT WARMER (KOTATSU)

PURPOSE:To improve the visual heating characteristic of the titled warmer and to reduce the thickness of its heating unit by a method wherein a non-incandescent type heater having a high heat generating capacity such as a cord heater with a small thickness and a low voltage illuminating lamp having a low heat generating capacity are provided in the heating unit and the heater and the lamp are connected in series with each other. CONSTITUTION:A foot warmer is formed of a frame 1 havng a ceiling plate 3, a plurality of support legs 4 and a heating space 5 therewithin and the heating unit 6 attached to the ceiling plate of the frame 1. Further, the non-incandescent type heater having a high heat generating capacity such as the cord heater 7 of a comparatively small thickness, the low voltage illuminating lamp 11 of a low heat generating capacity and a protective net 12 are provided in the heating unit 6. Then the heater 7 and the lamp 11 are connected in series with each other. As a consequence, it is possible to prevent one from getting burnt.
