PURPOSE:To prevent any careless excessive stepping-in of an accel-pedal by elevating the stepping-in limiting member of the accel-pedal through a transmission member by means of the operation of a handle mechanism so as to limit the stepping-in rate of the accel-pedal within a desired range. CONSTITUTION:When the running speed of a car is limited, a handle 10 is pushed down forward or pulled backward. When the handle is pushed down, a transmission wire 6 is pulled and an elevating arm 4 is rotated clockwise and then a stepping-in limiting lever 3 is ascended. Thus the stepping-in rate of an accel pedal 1 is limited small and the running speed is limited. Besides, when a manual switch is set to ON and the accel pedal 1 is stepped in, a limit switch 21 is turned on and a solenoid 16 advances an armature 15. As a result, the accel pedal 1 is retained at a limited point by the said handle 10 and constant speed running can be ensured even the accel-pedal 1 is not stepped in. |
