PURPOSE:To obtain the titled globe uniform, good qualitied and having no trace of a gate by a method wherein a thermocured synthetic resin sheet is attracted by vacuum under a condition that the sheet is pushed by a plug to adhere it to the plug and, thereafter, it is inflated in a forming mold by compressed air. CONSTITUTION:The softened synthetic resin sheet 1, pinched by clamps 3, is extended by pushing it into metal molds 2a, 2b by the plug 4 and is adhered to the plug 4 by evacuating through venting holes 7. Subsequently, the split metal molds 2a, 2b are closed immediately and the softened synthetic resin sheet 1b, adhered to the plug 4, is inflated by the compressed air, blown out of the venting holes 7, to contact it closely to the surfaces of the molds 10a, 10b and, thus, the sheet is formed into the globe having the desired configuration by means of blow forming. |
