PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of electrolyte, and increase assembly efficiency, and improve accuracy of products by bonding an outer can and an inner can to seal liquid tightly after completion of electrolyte pouring. CONSTITUTION:Electrolyte poured from a iquid path 2a flows to a space 9 through an opening 2b. The electrolyte filled in the space penetrates from end surfaces of electrode group 1 by capillary action. After completion of electrolyte pouring, a sealant 10 dissolved in a solvent is applied in the outer circumference 7a of inner bottom of an outer can 7 and dried to remove solvent and form a layer 10 of only sealant 10. The outer can 7 is covered on an inner can 3, then the outer circumference 7a of the outer can 7 and an opening 3b of the inner can are pressed to bond together. Even if a battery falls, electrolyte does not come out. After bonding of the outer can 7 and the inner can 3 by the sealant 10, the battery can be placed in convenient position, then assembly efficiency can be increased. |
