A shoe insole construction was manufactured, which is comprised of transparent, plate-like, elastomer layers exposed to air. The layers form many small pockets of a size and a type between layers, which are expanded by a gas medium of air, oxygen, or nitrogen. The elastomer layers have lower transmittance than the gas medium layers, but they have relatively high transmittance of air for an ambient atmosphere.
