PURPOSE:To obtain a silicone rubber roll for a heat fixation part which eliminates the need for pressure release while having superior separation from toner, by coating a roll core shaft with an addition reaction normal-temperature setting type silicone rubber composite consisting essentially of base rubber made of dimethyl polysiloxane with a blocked terminal vinyl group, an inorganic filler, and silicone oil and then curing it. CONSTITUTION:20pts.wt. silica, 5pts.wt. silicone oil with one point five million centistoke viscosity, a platinum catalyst, and a cross-linking agent are mixed with a 100pts.wt. addition reaction type dimethy polysiloxane with 1,000-10,000 centistoke viscosity (25 deg.C) to obtain the silicone rubber composite with 480 poise viscosity. This is poured in a roll metallic mold and set to manufacture a heat roll with a 40mm.phi outer diameter and a 0.5mm. thickness and a press roll with a 40mm.phi outer diameter and a 5mm. thickness. The rubber parts of those rolls have 33kg/cm<2> tensile strength, 250% elongation, 34 hardness (JIS.A), 4kg/cm tear strength, and 6% compression permanent set (room temperature) as mechanical characteristics. This invented silicone rubber roll has superior separation characteristics, so an oilless system is applicable and this is usable without pressure releasing. |
