PURPOSE:To produce easily two pieces of valve bodies with high accuracy without any strain by welding body caps and bosses to a center body for two valve bodies, and bisecting the center body then welding the required body caps. CONSTITUTION:Body caps 15, 16 are welded 17, 18 to the right and left openings 13, 14 of a cylindrical center body 12 having the length for two units of ordinary ball valves. Left and right bosses 20L, 20R are welded with 90 deg. deviation to the positions equidistant from the central surface 19 and through-holes 22 connecting to the respective central holes 21 are punched. The resulted product is annealed over the entire part to relieve the strain thereof, whereafter the body 12 is cut at a right angle to the central axis along central surface 19. A body cap which is beforehand manufactured separately is welded to the cut opening of each body 12 whereby two units of the valve bodies having a prescribed shape and size are obtd. |
