PURPOSE: To provide a signal processing computing element which can cope with various applications at no increase in the cost. CONSTITUTION: A selection circuit 44 outputs the enable signals 46 to 49 to the prescribed function blocks 34, 35, 36 and 37 in response to an internal signal 52 or an external signal 54. Thus a function block is selected in response to a prescribed application and controlled by a DSP core 32. In other words, only the function block that is selected by the circuit 44 receives the data and instructions from the core 32 via a data bus 40 and an instruction bus 42 and then carries out the processing based on the received instruction. |
