发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent reflection on the surfaces of glass substrates and polarization plates by forming reflection preventive films on the surfaces thereof. CONSTITUTION:1, 2 are a pair of glass substrate, and transparent electrodes 3, 4 are deposited on their inside surfaces so as to oppose each other. 5, 6 are polarization plates fixed to the outside surfaces of the substrates 1, 2 by means of adhesive layers 7, 8. The layers 7, 8 having the refractive indices of the values approximate to the refractive indices of the substrates 1, 2 are used. 9, 10 are the reflection preventive films formed on the surfaces of the plates 5, 6, and the magnesium fluoride MgF2 films vapor deposited to about 1,000Angstrom thickness are usable for the same. 11, 12 are the reflection preventive films which are formed to cover the inside surfaces of the substrates 1, 2 and the surfaces of the electrodes 3, 4 and are similar to the above-described reflection preventive films. 13, 14 are the liquid crystal oriented films formed on the films 11, 12 and 15 is a liquid crystal. Broken lines are incident light and solid lines reflected light. A denotes the reflection at the interface of air and the reflection preventive film and B the reflection at the interface of the reflection preventive film and the glass substrate. Two kinds of reflected rays have the phases opposite from each other and negate with each other, hence the reflected rays are eliminated.
