PURPOSE:To provide a clear marking to a base material with good workability by a method in which letters or patterns are printed with an ink to dissolve a covering layer on the covering layer visually distinguishable from the base by means of an ink jet printer, and the printed portion is dissolved and removed to obtain a white marking. CONSTITUTION:Desired letters or patterns are printed with an ink capable of dissolving or swelling a covering layer on the covering layer visually distinguishable from the base by means of an ink jet printer of a pressure vibration type, an electrostatic acceleration type, or a pressure pulse type. Then, the covering layer of the printed portion is dissolved or swelled and then removed by a wiping method using a moisture absorptive cloth or roll or a solvent washing method. By this, a clear marking is provided to the surface of the base material. |
