PURPOSE:To improve the performance and reliability of an electrophotographic copying machine and to reduce its size by using a cleaning sheet made of felt, etc., impregnated with a solvent, and removing stain of sticked paper powder, toner, etc., from a paper conveyance path. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning sheet 12 is formed by sticking a coating material 14 such as a polyester film to one surface of a cleaning blank material 13 and set in a paper feed cassette 1 in a downward direction so that the coating material 14 serves as a transfer surface facing oppositely to a photosensitive drum 3. This coating material 14 is provided not to cause secondary evil influence upon the photosensitive drum 3 and others due to flocks of felt cloth, silicone cloth, etc., and a poor reaction with the toner solvent. Then, the cleaning blank material 13 is impregnated with an organic solvent and numbers of small holes 14a are formed in the coating material 14 to allow the organic solvent sticking to the surface of the photosensitive drum 3 to penetrate the cleaning blank material 13 through those small holes 14a when the cleaning sheet 12 contacts the photosensitive drum 3 at a transfer position, improving the cleaning efficiency. |
