PURPOSE:To improve product yield, by providing a braking device of wire rod, used for controlling the end part of a wire rod by decelerating it at the time of finishing the coiling of the rod, to the transferring zone of the rod located at the introducing side of a poling type coiling device, and preventing a dent at the end part of rod and a poor packing shape of coil, both of which are caused by the centrifugal force of a poling reel. CONSTITUTION:Two rolls 4 and 5 having the same diameters respectively, which are placed at both sides and on the downstream side of a guide cylinder 2 and are made to face the end of downstream side of the cylinder 2, are freely rotatably fitted to the axles 4a and 5a, having horizontal axes respectively and arranged symmetrically with respect to the axis of the cylinder 2 and at the upper and lower sides of the cylinder 2. The axle 4a is supported at the end of an arm 10 curved to the downstream direction, and the left side surface of a supporting bed 7 and the right side surface of the axle 4a are separately arranged at a proper distance, and the other end of the arm 10 is fixed to the upper part of a sleeve 12 fitted freely rotatably to an axle 11 which is fixed to an attaching plate 1 at the upper side of the bed 7 which is positioned on the downstream side. Then, at the time of finishing the coiling of the rod, the moving speed of the rod is decelerated by turning the sleeve to turn the arm 10 together, and holding the end part of the rod by bringing the roll 4 close to the roll 5. |
