<p>The disclosed wave energy recovering device comprises a caisson mountable on a wall structure facing wave, said caisson having a water chamber defined by a bottom wall, an open side, a rear wall facing said open side, at least two sidewalls with said open side and said rear wall therebetween, and an open portion at top thereof; said water chamber having a length longer than one quarter of a wavelength Lc in the water chamber so that a standing wave is formed in the water chamber with a node of the standing wave at a distance Lc/4 from said rear wall toward said open side; and at least two wave-power turbine impellers pivotally supported by said caisson at a position coinciding with said node of the standing wave, at least one intermediate flow-contracting board disposed between said adjacent wave-power turbine impellers at the middle position of said impellers; and at least a couple of flow-contracting side boards secured to said sidewalls of the caisson at positions facing said wave-power turbine impeller; whereby said impellers rotate only in one direction with the aid of said intermediate flowcontracting board and said couple of flow-contracting side boards and the energy of wave incident to said caisson is recovered by said impeller as revolving energy thereof. The caisson itself can also be utilized as a breakwater or an embankment.</p> |
