<p>In a machine for treating (scouring and/or fulling) fabrics in open width, provided with a tank with which there are associated means for widening the fabric (A) originating from the bottom of the tank (1), fabric centering means (10) positioned downstream of the preceding means, fabric transporting means (28) and means (Z) for launching the fabric against a counteracting surface (29) before falling onto the bottom of the tank.
