PURPOSE:To obtain the sheathing plate having long bosses by one series of the forming work by a method wherein the long bosses or the like are formed simultaneously with the forming of the main frame of the sheathing plate and the bosses or the like are cut off from the main frame to use them as insert pins upon next forming. CONSTITUTION:The insert pins 6 are formed integrally with the main frame 5a of a sheathing plate at a part 5b which is not utilized as the main frame and, thereafter, both of them are separated. In the next forming work, the main frame 5a and the insert pins 6 are arranged at the predetermined positions therefor in the metal die and, thereafter, the insert forming is effected. The long bosses are formed by the insert forming of the sheathing plate main frame 5a and the insert pins 6 while the insert pins are formed integrally with the part 5b of an opening and the sheathing plate 5 may be obtained by cutting off the insert pins. |
