The invention concerns an arrangement for determination and registration of the freeness number for a fibre suspension. The arrangement contains a tank 1 of flow-through type with constant level and a meter 5 of submerged type for determining the draining capability, which meter contains two chambers, i.e., a filter chamber 13 with a bottom percolator part 14 and a measuring chamber 15. There is introduced into the measuring chamber 15 an element 17 which is sensitive to the level of the water passing through the bottom percolating part 14, and which is connected to a circuit for measuring the level and measuring the freeness number as a function of this level. The dimensions of the filtering chamber 13 and measuring chamber 15 are chosen so that the water when the meter 5 for determining the drainage capability is submerged into the fibre suspension flows into the filter chamber 13 at a constant pressure drop between the level of the upper edge of the filter chamber 13 and the level of the edge of the tank 1. <IMAGE> |
