PURPOSE: To obtain a thermosensible recording material in which yellowing under light irradiation is reduced and which has a good bar code reading property near a specified wavelength by using a compound expressed by a specified formula as leuco dye in a thermosensible recording material with the use of leuco dye as a coloring agent. CONSTITUTION: In a thermosensible recording material which obtain a colored image by sending an image signal thermally by a micro-exothermic resistance element, a thermosensible coloring layer containing leuco dye and a developer for coloring the leuco dye by heating as main components is formed on a support. A compound expressed by a formula is used as the leuco dye. In the formula, R1 R2 are hydrogen C1 -C3 alkyl group, alkyl group having aromatic ring or cycloalkyl group; X is substituent having Hammett rule substituent constant σp is 0.50 or more in ortho or para position, or σp is 0.53 or more in meta position; n is natural number of 1-5. |
