PURPOSE: To ensure engagement of a hold section at a rear side of a head end of a clip and a holding means of a barrel so as to prevent erroneous work by providing a biasing means such as a spring in between the clip for holding a writing tool in a pocket of clothes and an internal barrel in the barrel. CONSTITUTION: In using, when a cap 4 or a clip 6 is operated by knocking and an internal barrel 2 is pushed forward against a spring 5, a holding protrusion 6a of the clip moves ahead along a guide groove 1b formed in a barrel 1, it is held by a holding hole 1c and a pen 3 is held in a protruded state. For housing the protruded pen 3b in the barrel 1, the back end of the clip 6 is pressed down toward the barrel 1 or the front end of the clip 6 is pulled up in a direction away from the barrel 1, the clip 6 is rocked with supporting point at a connecting section 2b so as to release the engagement of the holding protrusion 6a and the holding hole 1c. The internal barrel 2 is retracted together with the clip 6 by the restoring force of the spring 5 so as to be housed. |
