PURPOSE:To facilitate an input of an original of a free style and to realize the picture processing, by setting a character frame of an optional size on a bit map display and then magnifying or reducing a character pattern in response to the character frame for display. CONSTITUTION:The position and size of a character frame and the groups of character codes are stored in a character assignment memory. A character pattern memory 11 stores a standard character pattern corresponding to the character code, and a display picture memory 12 holds the character frame and the assigned character pattern in the form of a bit image equivalent to a page. A display control circuit 13 transfers the contents of the memory 12 to a display 14 consisting of a CRT and performs a refresh display. A coordinate value memory 20 holds the coordinate value given from a coordinate input device 21, and this coordinate value is displayed to the display 14 by the circuit 13 and in the form of a cursor mark. |
