<p>A cutting machine for fibre or strip shaped materials, for ex. in the form of filaments, or strips from rolls of paper, textiles, plastic sheets or similar materials, involves, a rotor casing (5, 13) with a materials entry point (1), and a materials exit point (2), which guides a materials transport- line across a rotor (15) mounted in the casing with a number of cylindrically designed blades (22-24), whilst a fixed blade (31) is mounted in the rotor casing, which is adjustable with the help of an externally accessible adjustment fixture (30).By removing the end-wall (13),which makes up one part of the two-part rotor casing (5, 13), the rotor (15) with its attendant bearings (16, 17) can be extracted as a complete entity. The rotor (15) is deployed in a narrow space, in comparison to the surrounding parts of the rotor casing, and has an axial length which is, at least, equal to the breadth of the materials entry point (1). The rotor blades (22-24) are arranged so that both the cutting edge and the plane on the blades is slanted in relation to an axial plane in the rotor, so that during rotation they can meet the fixed blade (31) at a positive cutting angle.<IMAGE></p> |
