PURPOSE:To provide an ignition device for a moxa, having characteristics that its ignition is easy with a simple method, a plastic body casing ensures its freedom from any demage due to heats generated while the moxa is being burnt or an ignition heater is being heated, and the moxa can be inserted positively. CONSTITUTION:A moxa insertion port 6 is defined in an opposed relation against an ignition heater 7, and has a metallic cap 18 attached thereto. The metallic cap 18 doubles as a moxa insertion guide. The reason for providing this metallic cap 18 is to prevent a plastic body casing 2 from being burnt by heats generated from the ignition heater 7 and the moxa 16 while they are being heated or burnt. Because of its cylindrical shape to double as an insertion guide of the moxa 16, the metallic cap 18 can ensure that the moxa 16 can be positively inserted into its predetermined position. |
