PURPOSE:To improve a heat exchanging eficiency, by arranging such that there may take place no short-circuit between a room air and an inlet and outlet ports, and a room air to be recirculated may be evenly distributed over an entire surface of heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:By driving a fan as a horizontal fan 35, a room air is drawn into an air conditioner body 20 through a first inlet port 27 and a second inlet port 28, and diffused out of an outlet port 26 defined centrally at a front panel 22. Because the first and the second inlet ports 27 and 28 are inclined upwardly and downwardly relative to the outlet port 26 respectively, and furthermore opened to face upwardly and downwardly, it is possible to prevent a short-circuit of an air flow which would otherwise take place between the air flow and these outlet port 26, inlet ports 27 and 28. Moreover, a baffle plate 38 preventing the short- circuit is provided between the outlet port 26 and the inlet ports 27 and 28, and thereby further preventing an occurence of the short-circuit. Heat exchangers 29 and 30 are provided in inclination along the first and the second inlet ports 27 and 28, and a room air drawn through the inlet ports 27 and 28 passes evenly through entire surfaces of the heat exchangers 29 and 30 with a result in an increased heat exchanging efficiency. |
