PURPOSE:To insure sufficient adhesion strength while to form a conductive film where the influence to the degree of vacuum in the tube is low, by applying high density silicate alkali metal salt only at the portion requiring strong adhesion thereafter entirely applying conductive paint containing low density silicate alkali salt. CONSTITUTION:25% aqueous solution of silicate potassium is applied on a portion of the inner face of a deflection bulb funnel especially on the portion contacting with the metal contact such as bulb spacer contact, getter support, etc. where strong adhesion is required. After said film is semi-dried, graphite paint containing 10% of silicate potassium is flow coated entirely on the inner face of funnel. Consequently the amount of silicate alkali salt contained in the entire conductive film is limited to the minimum to achieve required degree of vacuum while insuring sufficient adhering strength. |
