PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording sheet high in dynamic color forming sensitivity, good in head matching property and high in the reliability of an printing image, to be obtained by providing a protective layer based on a water soluble polymer binder and specific silica on a heat sensitive color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat sensitive color forming layer based on a colorless or a light colored color forming leuco dye and an acidic substance developing the color of said leuco dye under heating is provided on a support and a protective layer based on a water soluble polymer binder (e.g., PVA, hydroxymethyl cellulose, starch) and silica with oil absorption of 150% or more and bulk density of 5ml/g or more is further provided thereon to obtain a heat sensitive recording sheet. This heat sensitive recording heat is one capable of recording a high density clear image even by minute heat energy and higher in dynamic color forming density, good in head matching property such as sticking or head dregs, high in the reliability of a printing image and has high sensitivity which has not been obtained conventionally. |
