PURPOSE:To exactly and quickly perform the fitting of type belts to the main shaft head of a machine tool by a method in which an endless type belt is clamped, and the end face of the belt is cut into a given size by a grinder. CONSTITUTION:Three tools 21 each of which circular arcs is equally divided into three sections are attached to each claw of a three-claw chuck 11 attached to the table head 10 of a miller. On the cylindrical peripheral face of the tool 21, grooves 22 and 23 are formed in the circumferential direction. An endless type belt 1 is attached to the tool 21 by turning its face where types are present inwards, the type row 2 is fitted into the groove 22 of the peripheral face of the tool 21, and a time marker row 3 is fitted into the groove 23. Thus, the fitting of the endless type belt 1 to the table head can be always exactly and quickly attained by the time marker row 3 and the groove 23, and its lower end face 1a can be easily ground within a given dimension by a grind stone 24. |
